CIPMA-HR members are key executives, managers, supervisors, and related professionals responsible for a variety of HR functions for federal, state, and local governments in the Tri-County area:  Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, and Ventura Counties.

The mission of CIPMA-HR is to optimize organizational and individual performance in the public service by providing HR leadership, professional development, information, and services. 

Annual dues are based on current IPMA-HR national membership status and when you join or renew.  For IPMA-HR United Members, it is $45 if submitted on or before March 31* or $50 after that.  For non-IPMA-HR Regular Members, it is $80 if submitted on or before March 31* or $85 after that.  

We encourage CIPMA-HR members to join IPMA-HR.  The benefits of national membership include:

  • HR News - IPMA-HR's monthly newsletter for HR professionals
  • Electronic copy of PPM - IPMA-HR's quarterly journal focusing on trends, case studies, and the latest research by top HR scholars and industry experts

The IPMA-HR annual membership cost is $156.00 (or $114 for an online membership).  Another option is an agency membership which is based on the number of staff (e.g., for a staff of 1-3, the membership is $417/year; for a staff of 4-6, the membership is $835/year).  The IPMA-HR membership application is available at https://www.ipma-hr.org/membership/Apply-for-Membership.

Also available are Student and Member in Transition Memberships at $35 annually and Affiliate Memberships at $85 annually .   

The CIPMA-HR board members are optimistic as we progress into the next year that we will continue to provide our members with opportunities for professional development by attending informative luncheon presentations on current HR topics, networking with colleagues, and maximizing the benefits of being affiliated with IPMA-HR.
